Discovering the Area
We are located at Ingenio County
The municipality has 38 km2 and a population of about 30,000 inhabitants, is located southeast of the island and its name comes from the cultivation and processing of sugar cane in a sugar mill. The main village is Carrizal and the beach is El Burrero.
From this point we recommend visiting:
The Guayadeque Valley, with its many caves restaurants, houses and churh, as well as the Guayadeque Interpretation Center.
Néstor Álamo Park within the beautiful old town and with the largest palm tree in the Canary Islands.
Throughout the year some annual events like the International Festival of Folklore of Ingenio (July), the Festival Ingenio Cómico (March) and the San Haragán Festival in Playa del Burrero (last fortnight of August) are celebrated.
